Health & Safety
|
Health and Safety is similar to stakeholder engagement - it is not optional. It is an essential part of how we carry out our business. At its core is respect for people. The three main elements of successfully developing a project are programme, quality and budget. Our positive approach to health and safety underpins each of these. Excellent health and safety standards will always save time and money and lead to improved quality. Process driven health and safety will only get us so far. Interpreting legislation and devising safe systems of work that can be adhered to is the process. Ensuring all our staff and our sub contractors’ staff fully understand and appreciate the agreed method is linked to our culture. Mount Anvil demonstrates a dynamic health and safety culture from the top down and, as such, our health and safety accident incidence rate puts us in the top 3% of all major builders. In 2012, Mount Anvil was nominated as a finalist for an International Safety award from the British Safety Council (SHP IOSH) – making it the sixth year in a row that we have been recognised as champion achievers in health & safety in construction from this prestigious organisation. ![]()
