Peckham High Street, London SE15
This innovative scheme replaced a run-down, disused bingo hall in Peckham High Street with a stylish complex of modern apartments, offices and shops. The former Mecca Bingo Hall, which was empty for 12 years, made way for a dazzling new commercial and multi-tenure residential block. The finished scheme provided 60 new homes in a mix of key worker accommodation, shared ownership and housing for ethnic minority groups. Mount Anvil secured the land for its RSL partners - Metropolitan Housing Association and Ujima - in an off-market deal.
