  • Killian Hurley

    Killian Hurley , BCom, FCA - Executive Chairman
    Email

    Killian, the co-founder and majority shareholder of Mount Anvil, has worked in the London property market since 1988. Killian is a multi-disciplined professional with expertise across development, finance, legal and marketing with a strong focus on building effective teams. Passion, hard work and a very demanding approach focused on the development of people are key aspects of Killian’s business style. These attributes have enabled the development of an exceptional team providing the platform for controlled profitable growth of the business in an entrepreneurial fashion. He has particular experience in the collaborative delivery of joint venture solutions to complex property transactions and of ensuring risks are identified and priced appropriately. Killian received his Commerce degree from University College Cork and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1983.

  • Clive Fenton

    Clive Fenton , Chief Executive

    Clive joined the Mount Anvil team in 2013 and has full responsibility for the day to day running of the business. Clive qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has since had a long and successful career in residential development. He joined Barratt Developments Plc in 1983 and held several financial and operational roles before being appointed as Managing Director of a new West London division in 1996. Over the next 6 years this division grew rapidly to become one of the largest profit centres in the Group. In 2003 Clive was appointed to the Board where he had operational responsibility for London, the South East and the South West which consisted of 12 operating divisions with a combined annual output of c6,000 homes.

  • Peter Burslem

    Peter Burslem , BSc (Hons) - Operations Director

    Peter joined the Mount Anvil team in 2002 and oversees the successful delivery of all Mount Anvil’s developments from post-acquisition through to final handover. Peter’s value-led approach and leadership skills combined with his 14 years of working for major contractor Morgan Sindall, contributes greatly to the success of the business. In addition, his passion for health and safety has resulted in Mount Anvil being an exemplar business in this regard. He holds a Construction degree from Sheffield Polytechnic.

  • David Clark

    David Clark , BA (Hons), ACA - Group Finance Director

    David joined the Mount Anvil team in June 2008 and is responsible for the group’s finance function. He delivers a systematic approach to financial management with a focus on robust cash management and strong financial controls. This has helped to establish very strong relationships with a range of key funders. He previously served as Finance Director for a major division of Jacques Vert plc, a leading fashion brand and as Group Financial Controller and Group Financial Director at Walker Greenbank plc, a luxury interior furnishings group. David began his career at KPMG, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994.

  • Jon Spring

    Jon Spring , BSc (Hons), MRICS - Land Director

    Jon joined the Mount Anvil team in 2005 and leads its land team including sourcing, appraisal and negotiation of all major deals. His determination and professionalism have helped Mount Anvil become one of the most successful land buying companies in London. He worked previously as a Development Manager for Berkeley Homes and was a chartered surveyor with Strettons. Jon holds a degree in Land Management from the University of East London and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

  • Alan Duncan

    Alan Duncan , BA (Hons) - General Counsel

    Alan joined in 2013 to focus on supporting the land, development and finance functions in the acquisition and funding of new schemes. He is also the Company Secretary. Alan previously specialised in acting for banks and borrowers on complex property transactions and now aims to achieve best long term solutions for Mount Anvil in his personable, professional and collaborative manner. Alan worked as partner in the real estate group at Addleshaw Goddard LLP. In seven years, he worked on six Mount Anvil land and funding transactions. He also spent two years as an associate with Eversheds in their real estate group. Alan qualified as a solicitor with Allen & Overy LLP in 1998 spending seven years there on the property side. He graduated from Pembroke College Oxford in 1995 with an Honours law degree.

     

  • Brian De'ath

    Brian De'ath , LLB (Hons) - Sales Director

    Brian joined the Mount Anvil team in March 2008 and spearheads all of the sales strategies and activities for its developments. His attention to detail when specifying and pricing properties ensures that Mount Anvil’s end product is outstanding. Brian was previously a sales manager at Berkeley Homes, where he led sales teams at flagship developments such as Royal Arsenal. He holds a Law degree from Southampton Solent University.

  • Peter Burton

    Peter Burton , Commercial Director

    Peter joined Mount Anvil in 2012 and is responsible for commercial aspects of the business ranging from build contracts to development agreements, starting at bidding stage through to final delivery. His rigorous approach to the identification of risk is already impacting on new schemes. He previously served as Commercial Director and Managing Director for Persimmon Special Projects. Prior to that he spent 15 years in various commercial roles at Carillion. He holds a Diploma in Quantity Surveying from Hertfordshire College of Building.

  • Charlotte Steedman

    Charlotte Steedman , BCom, MCIM - Marketing Director

    Charlotte joined the Mount Anvil team in 2012 and is responsible for the company’s marketing and communication function. Charlotte brings a buzz to the team. Through creative branding and effective story-telling, she ensures Mount Anvil’s customers are drawn in and retained. She was previously Head of New Business for Candy and Candy and has held a broad range of marketing positions within the built environmen Charlotte holds a Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town together with a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and Communications. She is a Chartered Marketer.

  • Andrew Reid

    Andrew Reid , BA (Hons) Dip Arch, RIBA - Design Director

    Andrew joined Mount Anvil in July 2006 and is responsiblefor the optimisation, designand technical delivery of allMount Anvil schemes. He has an outstanding track record in achieving planning permissionsboth at officer level and public appeal. Andrew is committed to delivering “best value”through excellent design and specification, ensuring theproduct is market focused and that Mount Anvil’s reputationand legacy is maintained. Previously, Andrew worked as design manager for Bovis Homes and as planning and design executive for Crest Nicholson. He holds an Arts degree in Architecture from Oxford University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture from Leeds Metropolitan University. He is a Chartered Architect.

  • Martin McAtamney

    Martin McAtamney , BSc (Hons) - Pre-Construction Project Director

    Martin joined the Mount Anvil team in April 2011 and leads the pre-construction on major schemes from post acquisition up to start on site. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that when schemes start on site, the Mount Anvil team can hit the ground running. He previously served as Senior Project & Development Manager for Ballymore Properties and Senior Project Leader for Laing O’Rourke. He holds a Structural Engineering degree from Dublin University (Bolton Street) and is a Member of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland.

  • Nigel Green

    Nigel Green , MCIOB - Construction Director

    Nigel joined Mount Anvil in 2006 and oversees delivery on multiple Mount Anvil schemes. His quality-led approach ensures Mount Anvil always achieves the highest standards on their developments. He previously held senior positions at Bluestone (now part of the Morgan Sindall Group), Mowlem and Wilmott Dixon. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.

  • Kevin Payne

    Kevin Payne , Project Director

    Kevin joined the Mount Anvil team in 2012 and is responsible for delivery of a number of Mount Anvil schemes. Kevin is an all rounder; his multi¬disciplinary approach means that he can deliver complex schemes to exacting standards. He joined from Berkeley Homes where he was Construction Manager on a number of key schemes and prior to that he worked for Balfour Beatty. He holds a degree in Construction Project Management from the University of Northumbria and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.

  • Brian Chambers

    Brian Chambers , Dip Surv (QS), MRICS - Pre Contract Director

    Brian joined the Mount Anvil team in 2003 and is responsible for the preparation of build cost variabilities and budgets for new schemes. His experience and risk averse approach mean that Mount Anvil has robust and realistic build budgets. Over his 30 year career, Brian has worked in a variety of roles including commercial director positions at Sindall Limited (now Morgan Sindall Group) and prior to that at Haymills Contractors Limited. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1987 and holds a Diploma in Quantity Surveying from Croydon College. Brian is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

  • Peter Gore

    Peter Gore , BSc MCIOB - Construction Director

    Peter joined the Mount Anvil team in 2010 and is responsible for delivery of multiple Mount Anvil developments. His commitment and high standards ensure the finished product is always of the highest quality. He was previously Construction Director at Barratt with responsibility for construction operations across various counties. He has also held managerial positions at Bellway and Persimmon Homes. He holds a degree in Building Management from Anglia Ruskin University and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.

  • Cathryn Francis

    Cathryn Francis , Assoc CIPD - Engagement Manager

    Cathryn joined Mount Anvil in 2006 and works alongside the leadership team to ensure the best talent is attracted and retained. Cathryn’s ability to build strong relationships across the business and her focus on employee engagement have been key in Mount Anvil's inclusion in the Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For list. Cathryn has a broad range of experience of promoting and leading change management across a range of dynamic and fast growing business sectors. Prior to Mount Anvil, she was Business Support Manager at Avaya Technologies. Cathryn is an Associate Member of the CIPD.
