Area

This privileged corner of west London connects to a series of Thames-side ‘villages’, including leafy Chiswick and picturesque Barnes, as well as being within quick access of Chelsea, Notting Hill and Knightsbridge. Replete with parks, riverside walks, excellent restaurants and a buzzing, multicultural vibe, it is also one of the best-served transport hubs in the capital. Hammersmith offers four tube lines and direct access to the A4 artery heading west out of London. No wonder this charming section of the river continues to attract discerning residents looking for a toe in the city, as well as a toe in the water.

Out and About

Hammersmith Town combines the pleasures of a tranquil life on the river with a bustling city vibe. Best known for icons of culture, such as the Hammersmith Apollo, Riverside Studios and the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith also directly neighbours Fulham, placing Chelsea, Notting Hill and Knightsbridge within quick reach.

As well as its own theatre and live music venues, it is home to some of London’s most notable pubs and restaurants, including The Dove - the oldest surviving riverside pub in London - and iconic The River Café. Cyclists and walkers enjoy easy access to the Thames Path, which connects Kingston and Richmond to the west and Southbank, Greenwich and as far as the Thames Barrier to the east.
