The World's Greatest City

We think London is the world’s greatest city. And it’s not just us.

In recent years London has emerged in a league of its own. Topping the 2014 Price Waterhouse Cooper’s Cities of Opportunities Index and named in the 2014 Boston Consulting Group survey of 200,000 workers from 189 countries as the world’s most desirable city, London is the place to live, work and play.

Talent, culture and education

With its huge economic influence comes unrivalled commercial opportunity. Businesses are attracted by London’s talent pool—over four million people speaking 230 languages, 400,000+ professional creatives, and some of the world’s most advanced scientists, tech specialists and academics—as well as the opportunity to work with best of breed professional services partners.

The career-minded are also spoilt for choice, as London attracts more European headquarters of global organisations than any other city, as well as being home to hundreds of thousands of smaller businesses spanning every imaginable sector.

London is also an unrivalled cultural hub, boasting a plethora of world-class museums, theatres, schools, and three of world’s top 20 universities—more than any other single city. And, after long days at work, it offers restaurants, bars and venues as vibrant and varied as its population.

The very best locations

Mount Anvil has been creating homes and communities where people love to live, since 1991. Together with our joint-venture partners, we’ve created 5,000 London homes and we are planning to build 2,500 more by 2018 – that’s more than 1 new home every day.

We pride ourselves on finding the best locations and creating developments which have their own personality and add to London’s world-class status.

Tech City and beyond

Tech City and the triangle covering Old Street, Clerkenwell and Angel are London’s most exciting districts. Hubs for innovation and great design, property here is in keeping with the dynamism of the area—cutting edge and classic, design-conscious and contemporary.

Our developments, The Eagle, located next to the Old Street Roundabout at the heart of Tech City, and Lexicon, situated on the City Road Basin beside the Regents Canal, are prime examples.

Canary Wharf surrounds

Further East, the area surrounding Canary Wharf is hard to beat for jobs with world-class financial firms. Global brands such as Morgan Stanley, IBM and KPMG are based there, attracted by its excellent transport links, existing network of businesses and huge pipeline of new homes being created. Dollar Bay is a stunning example of the quality and specification of property on offer.

Hammersmith and Fulham

Attention is increasingly turning to the boutique charms and riverside locations of neighbourhoods to the west of the City, like Fulham and Hammersmith. Quieter than Old Street or the City Fringe, these areas offer residents the sense of being removed from the City but with the convenience of being minutes away by public transport.

Queen’s Wharf, located beside the River Thames and incorporating the redevelopment of the world-famous Riverside Studios, offers fantastic river views and a great spot for watching the annual Oxford University versus Cambridge University boat race. While The Landau, located close to the designer shops of the King’s Road, world-renowned Imperial College and St Paul’s Boys School,  and green spaces of Brompton Park, offers boutique, village-style living.

Wandsworth

A stone’s throw across the Thames, leafy Wandsworth is one of London’s greenest boroughs, incorporating Wandsworth Common, Battersea Park, much of Clapham Common and many smaller parks.

This historic borough is undergoing a metamorphosis, as wide-ranging regeneration is creating beautiful new properties here whilst improving transport links, public spaces, and business opportunities. The Filaments, a key pillar in the area’s £1 billion regeneration, offers light, bright apartments and penthouses just a stone’s throw from the beautiful King George’s Park and newly renovated Southside Shopping Centre.

The global city

London is not just any global city—it is the global city.

It is endlessly diverse and dynamic, a worldwide centre for culture and commerce that is unrivalled as a city to live, learn and work in, and second to nowhere in terms of resale potential, investment security, and the breadth and quality of its residential offering.
