Central London property developer Mount Anvil and joint venture partner One Housing Group’s highly successful Central Squarescheme has added two more major industry accolades to its roster, this time by taking home silver for “Best Interior Design” and bronze for “Best Partnership” at this year’s What House? Awards 2012.
Now in their 31st year, the What House? Awards are the most prestigious and longest established New Homes awards. They aim to recognise house builders and developers large and small, in 21 different categories.
For the interior design award, Mount Anvil partnered with interior design consultancy Suna Interior Design, to achieve a contemporary yet timeless interior for Clerkenwell’s newest address. They appealed to the design-savvy purchaser with a discerning palette. Suna were commissioned to design the interiors, concierge and entrance lobby, show homes and penthouse for this landmark of 170 high-specification apartments in the heart of the capital.
Similarly, the partnership award recognised the seamless and powerful partnership forged between Mount Anvil and One Housing Group for the Central Square scheme, which was forged upon mutually agreed principles of added value and a shared vision for the project. This included, but was not limited to, emphasis on planning and design at all stages of development, customer awareness, personality through branding, sales strategy, passion and constant re-evaluation.
Completed 18 weeks ahead of schedule and sold out completely by August 2012, Central Square comprises 170 private homes and has generated a total of £85 million in sales since its launch in September 2011.
Killian Hurley, Chief Executive at Mount Anvil, commented
“We are pleased that Central Square has once again been recognised for its excellence. Our partnership with One Housing Group at Central Square has been a great success, based on the underlying principles of sound communication, team work and trust. Furthermore, we pride ourselves on paying attention to every last detail and to the realisation of fantastic and innovative design, so to receive recognition of this dedication is truly gratifying.”
Alan Williams, Group Development Director at One Housing Group, added
“We are delighted to have been recognised with two awards this year - together with Mount Anvil - on our Central Square scheme. This is testament to the strong partnership formed during the course of the development. Central Square is a great example of carefully considered design resulting in a high quality end product.”
Helen Fewster, Director at Suna Interior Design, said
“We are delighted to have been recognised for our design work on Central Square. We have always been encouraged by Mount Anvil to push creative boundaries, to innovate and to challenge the norms of the housing industry. We believe that the work we have achieved together at Central Square is some of the best we have completed, so to receive this honour from the What House? Awards is fantastic.”
