Landscape designer and contractor for Mount Anvil's Central Square scheme - Kings Landscapes - has won the BALI Principal Award in the category of Hard Landscaping Construction (£300K - £1.5 m), from a pool of six shorltisted projects.

The BALI Awards are designed to recognise the most exceptional examples of ‘UK and international design, construction and maintenance’ in the landscaping arena. The gardens at Central Square were recognised as an ambitious project utilising a diverse range of materials including Dutch clay for the handmade paving, decorative limestone aggregate to aid drainage and glistening granite-cladding for the water features. The gardens also feature densely planted Buxus hedging and semi-mature trees.

The BALI judges commented, “The contractor had to cope with challenging logistics within a confined space. It is a beautifully executed scheme that is close to flawless. It demonstrates a level of expertise and implementation that is a case study exemplar for all landscape contractors.”

Keith Ward, Contracts Manager at Mount Anvil commented, “We are thrilled with this recognition of the gardens at Central Square and we congratulate Kings Landscapes and the entire design team behind this truly unique offering of exquisitely crafted tranquillity in the heart of one of London’s most bustling neighbourhoods.”
