Mount Anvil Achieves Five Star Rating in Health and Safety Audit

Mount Anvil recently received a five star rating in the British Safety Council’s Five Star Occupational Health & Safety Audit for the third consecutive year. It’s a standout achievement, and one that we couldn’t be prouder of. Read more below.

The Five Star Occupational Health & Safety Audit is a detailed evaluation of an organisation’s Health & Safety management systems carried out by the British Safety Council. We received five stars, with the highest score ever issued of 99.97%. It is the third consecutive year in which we have continued to raise the bar, scoring 99.93% in 2015 and 99.78% in 2014, and highlights our continued commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our people and subcontractors in the workplace.

The audit allows organisations from all sectors to benchmark their Health & Safety cultures against a worldwide best practice standard, to celebrate their achievements in this area and to strive for constant improvement. In recent years, the British Safety Council has placed greater emphasis on an organisation’s approach to occupational health, employee wellbeing, safety culture, allocation of resources and more. We are thrilled that our hard work and commitment to raising the bar for Health & Safety in construction has been recognised in such a thorough evaluation.

Simon Walker, Mount Anvil’s Director of Health & Safety, says that our five star rating is “a testament to the exemplar Health & Safety standards and culture we strive for at Mount Anvil. The audit is not limited to construction, but is international and across all sectors. To achieve such a high score, benchmarked against multi-billion turnover companies, is a massive achievement”.
