As part of our ongoing commitment to donate 1% of profits to charitable causes, a sum of £10,000 each has been donated to both Action for Children and St Luke's Parochial Trust; two amazing charities with local connections to our four exciting development projects underway in Islington.
Action for Children is a nationwide charity which supports and speaks out for the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people in the UK. We chose to support the charity as Action for Children's headquarters had been previously based at 85 Highbury Park, where we have recently been granted planning permission for 143 homes.
St Luke's is a local charity that provides services and facilities to the communities of South Islington and surrounding areas. We are specfiically supporting St Luke's Centre, based on Central Street EC1, as it is a neighbour of our Central Square and adjacent Seward Street schemes.
Killian Hurley, Chief Executive said: "It is important to us at Mount Anvil that we support our new neighbours wherever we can. Both Action for Children and St Luke's have strong and long-standing links with the London Borough of Islington, and we are keen to foster further relationships within the local community in the year ahead."
