“Remarkable” Mount Anvil wows at 2019’s WhatHouse? Awards

We had a great night at the WhatHouse? Awards, the UK new-build homes industry’s biggest and most hotly anticipated awards event. Between them, Keybridge and Hampstead Manor brought home a Gold and a Bronze award to add to the Mount Anvil trophy cabinet. Read more below.

We work hard to create places where people can thrive, and we’re confident that we’re building some of the best developments in the UK – but it’s always nice when awards judges agree.

Especially the judges at the WhatHouse? Awards, commonly known as the ‘Oscars of the house building industry’, it’s one of the UK’s longest standing and most highly anticipated annual awards for new-build homes.

We’re ecstatic that Keybridge and Hampstead Manor won awards – Keybridge taking the Gold for ‘Best Partnership’ with A2Dominion, and Hampstead Manor Bronze in the fiercely contested ‘Best Renovation’ category.

Awarding Keybridge Gold, the WhatHouse? judges called it “a remarkable development” and praised the scheme’s “boldness of vision” for providing “30 million square feet of development on a less than one million square foot footprint”. Keybridge’s positive contribution to the Vauxhall streetscape also impressed, as well as its "well-planned homes, with extremely luxurious kitchens and bathrooms and [...] outdoor spacious balconies".

Signing off, the judges concluded that “this is a partnership scheme of such high quality that it would sit equally comfortably in the Luxury Development category”.

Hampstead Manor took home Bronze for Best Renovation, with the judges noting that "a thorough understanding of the buildings, the site and its history informed the design and execution of the present scheme", which was praised for its wealth of "original features, fine craftsmanship and appropriate and high-quality materials".

The judges were also impressed by the wider development, mentioning that Hampstead Manor’s new build homes are "equally impressive, both in design and execution, enhancing rather than devaluing the whole", and celebrating its extensive gardens as "carefully and imaginatively landscaped to integrate and enhance while helping to give a strong and welcoming collegiate feel".

Jon Hall, Sales Director at Mount Anvil, said "It’s fantastic to have Keybridge and Hampstead Manor recognised at this year’s WhatHouse? Awards. Our people – from planning and design to the teams on site – are committed to creating outstanding places where people can thrive, and these awards are testament to how they consistently deliver on that commitment”.
