Taking it up a level – Wyvil Primary School

Six months on from laying the foundations, the team at Keybridge Capital are on track to beat its build schedule for Wyvil Primary School. Read more below.

Since laying the foundations in March this year, the 300-strong team at Keybridge Capital in Vauxhall have now completed pouring the reinforced concrete structure of Wyvil Primary School’s new expansion.
Further progress sees the remaining structure pushing above the fifth floor. When you add this to the delivery and installation of its new electric substation, we’re not far away from commencing the next big milestone for the build – the cladding.

This would mean we’ll be set to start work on the envelope (the shell between the interior and exterior of the building) at the end the month. It’s at this stage of the build that our partners, the school and the council will really start to see the school taking shape.
Alun Thomas, Construction Director, “We’ve been working hard to fulfill both the school’s and the council’s aspirations for the scheme – a strong team focus on the delivery timeline, efficient ways of working and without compromise on quality is testament to this.”

Keybridge Capital’s due for completion in March 2021, will enable Wyvil Primary School to expand from a 2FE to a 4FE primary school – making space for an additional 360 pupils. The development’s also delivering wider community benefits, including an out of school hours community hall, new green spaces and a huge amount of commercial space for new shops, offices cafés.
