James Owen steps up to become Land Director

London born and bred, James Owen has taken his next career step with Mount Anvil as Land Director. Beginning his career in 2007 and moving through the ranks over the past 12 years, he’s pivotal in sourcing new land opportunities to continue to increase Mount Anvil’s contribution to London. Mount Anvil’s announced the promotion of James Owen to Land Director, where he’ll drive forward the company’s strategic land approach to source, appraise and negotiate new land acquisitions for their expanding development pipeline.

James began his career at Mount Anvil in 2007 as a trainee quantity surveyor and worked his way up to Senior Development Manager then Head of Land over the following decade. He played an integral role in the acquisition of several complex deals including flagship developments The Silk District in Whitechapel and Keybridge in Vauxhall.

Killian Hurley, CEO, Mount Anvil, said: “James is a home-grown talent and we’re proud of what he’s achieved in 12 years here. This step up for James is a reflection of his learning mindset and how his capabilities marry up with our robust financial position – we remain focused on building homes for Londoners, this year alone we’re starting construction on 1,021 London homes alongside our partners.”
