Making progress in Whitechapel

We've been ramping up activity in recent weeks, adapting how we work while making lots of headway on site. Here are the recent changes at The Silk District.

Construction Update

 

The Georgette North

The ceramic tiling has been laid up to the first floor (block 1) and the second floor (block 3). The façade brick work is in progress and currently up to level 2. Windows and being installed up to level 6 (block 1) and level 5 (block 3), and the partition walls are up to level 4 (block 1) and level 3 (block 3).

The bathrooms and wardrobes are now being installed throughout the floors, and the kitchens will be getting installed over the coming weeks.

 

The Georgette South

The concrete frame is complete and the installation of external cladding has began.

 

The Jacquard

The core has now been built up to level 14, with main floors in situ up to level 12. Work on the external façade is starting this week, we'll have some exciting photos of this to show you in your next update.

 

Amenities

The electrics and plumbing work will commence for the gym and cinema this month. Completion of these amenities is set to coincide with the completion of The Georgette South.
