Royal Eden Docks Now Launched

We have now launched, Royal Eden Docks, a unique community that’s already generating a real buzz. Designed with health, wellbeing and green spaces at its heart, and set amidst one of the Capital’s most exciting transformation stories, it’s no wonder Royal Eden Docks is getting attention in the national press. Read more below.

On Thursday 19th September we launched Royal Eden Docks in partnership with ExCeL London.  It’s an exciting new development in the Royal Docks – an area flourishing thanks to big investment, a huge infrastructure upgrade and a booming new resident community.

Buzz was already building in the media as the Royal Eden Docks launch approached, with The Sunday Times running a write-up of the development last weekend in their pick of "Lustworthy homes". Let’s take a closer look at why it’s generating so much interest.

Royal Eden Docks will offer 796 studio, one, two and three-bedroom homes for the area’s rapidly growing population of tech, science and creative professionals. The homes here have been designed by world-famous architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM), the firm behind the tallest building in the world – Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

We’ve designed health and wellbeing into the fabric of Royal Eden Docks. Life by the water and time spent in nature are synonymous with health, happiness and wellbeing – Royal Eden Docks makes the most of both.

The apartments here sit less than 100m from the edge of Royal Victoria Dock, and almost a quarter of the site – 5,000 sq m, more than 20 tennis courts’ worth of space – has been dedicated to green space.

From the development’s sociable central courtyard with its wildflower meadows, a badminton lawn and walkways lined with birch, maple and copper beech trees, to each apartment’s private balcony or terrace, residents are never far from nature.

Those balconies and terraces also flood homes at Royal Eden Docks with natural light and help bring the outdoors even closer for residents. The apartments’ interiors make the most of that light, with calming colour palettes, warm, natural-feeling materials and living spaces to kick back and unwind in.

Royal Eden Docks’ amenities are focused on health, wellbeing and revitalisation too, with a gym, 15-metre pool, spin and yoga studios, sauna and steam room, a cinema room, and a spectacular rooftop running track and reflexology walkway.

Jon Hall, Sales Director at Mount Anvil, said: “Royal Eden Docks brings greenery and tranquillity back to this part of the city. Our inspiration for the development originates from the site’s unique past and the transformative present and future of the area.

“The area’s set to witness a rise in house prices over the coming years of over 11%,* thanks to the volume of regeneration taking place in the area. Not only is Royal Eden Docks a promising investment opportunity, it’s set to become one of the best-connected neighbourhoods too, being just a three-minute walk from DLR station and future Crossrail hub, Custom House.”

That connectivity is a huge pull for the area. Already well connected to the rest of the capital by bus, DLR and Emirates Air Line, the arrival of Crossrail’s Elizabeth line at Custom House in 2020 will see residents able to reach Canary Wharf in just three minutes, and the City in 10.

Royal Eden Docks offers great amenities for professionals closer to home too. From a business lounge with flexible workspace and separate meeting room, to a 24-hour concierge, residents will be able to enjoy a laid-back dockside lifestyle while keeping up with the demands of living – and working – in London.

With a £314m investment package approved by the Mayor of London driving the transformation of the Royal Docks, and a projected £8bn of investment and 60,000 new jobs flowing into the area over the next 20 years, the future is looking very bright for this unique east London neighbourhood.

The Courtyard, the first release of homes at Royal Eden Docks, has now launched. Prices start from £355,000 for a studio apartment.
