Top marks to start the new decade

The new decade kicked off with equal vigour and productivity as we've closed the last. Fantastic progress has been made on site and we received another resounding report from the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Read more below.

Construction update

Significant progress has been made at The Georgette North B1 and The Georgette North B3 since your last update, and work has commenced on The Georgette South B2.

The number of operatives on site increased from 150 to 300 at the start of the year as the plumbing, electrical installation and façade work got underway.

The reinforced concrete frame was completed in both of the North Tower blocks, which then allowed for the façade and windows to begin to be installed.

Floor screeding application and underfloor heating installation has commenced. Once this is complete internal walls can be added. Exciting times ahead as the building takes shape to become your new home.

Considerate Constructors Scheme: Raising the Bar

Following an outstanding first site inspection from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) last year, The Silk District in Whitechapel recently underwent its second inspection. Once again, they scored the highest possible marks across categories including the site’s appearance, the safety of its workforce, respect for its neighbours and the local community, and efforts to protect and enhance the environment they’re working in.

This exceptional site in the heart of E1 has knocked it out of the park once more, raising the bar for the whole construction industry. Read the full article here.
